Spotify and Waze users will soon be able to use both apps on iOS devices without switching from one to the other, the GPS navigation app announced Monday(Sept. 18).
A blog post on Waze's website says the integrated experience, which was previously Android-only, is set to roll out "over the next few weeks."
Besides allowing iPhone owners to autoplay Spotify playlists while using Waze, the update also lets them switch between the two apps with one tap, control song selection, see recently played songs and access Spotify recommendations.
As a safety precaution, Waza says browsing through Spotify will be blocked while you're actually driving, but can be accessed if a passenger is controlling the device.
