Bob Seger Postpones Tour Due to Vertebrae Issue

Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band have postponed the rest of their North American Runaway Train Tour so their bandleader can tend to a medical issue concerning his vertebrae.

Seger kicked off his current tour on Aug. 24 in Toledo, Ohio, playing 13 shows before postponing their Sept. 30 gig in Columbus, Ohio, due to a pinched vertebra in his neck. On Tuesday (Oct. 3), he called off the remainder of the trek -- 19 dates in total including Columbus. The tour was set to run through Nov. 17, the same day he releases his new album, I Knew You When.

“I’m so disappointed to have to suspend the tour as the band is on a great roll,” Seger said in a statement. “It’s a privilege to play for our amazing fans. Hoping to be back out on the road very soon.”

No further details were given at the time of the announcement. Rescheduled dates will be announced when available, and previously purchased tickets will be honored at the new dates.
