Kodak Black Indicted on Criminal Sexual Conduct Charges

Kodak Black recently celebrated completing his required anger management courses but now, his celebration has been cut short. On Monday (Oct. 9), Black was indicted on first-degree sexual conduct charges by a grand jury in Florence County, South Carolina.

Black, born Dieuson Octave, was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman back in February 2016 at the Comfort Inn & Suites around the time the rapper was set to perform at a local nightclub. WPDE reports that the woman first reported the incident to a school nurse who then presented the allegations to the Florence County Sheriff's office.

The Florida native is prohibited from commenting on the situation whether in print, digital, or his social media platforms and is not allowed to contact the victim nor the victim's family.

Billboard reached out to Octave's attorney, Beattie Ashmore, who says, "I am aware of the indictment and it was expected as part of the normal process of the pending case."
