Fifth Harmony's new single "Down," featuring Gucci Mane, surged to the top of the Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart Friday morning (June 2) after its release. The track is the group's first new single in 2017 and the first released without original member Camila Cabello, who left the group in December.
The Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart measures the real-time acceleration of conversation around artists and their music on Twitter.
The track first appeared on the Trending 140 around 9 a.m. ET Friday morning, after its release at midnight, and topped the list shortly afterwards. The now-four-piece group first announced the new release on Instagram on Tuesday (May 30).
The group has not yet announced a release date for its upcoming third studio album.
