Pulse Music Group bumps up Ashley Calhoun from senior director to vice president of A&R. Calhoun, who has also served as creative director at Rondor Music Publishing, will build new initiatives in urban music and label services for Pulse clients while continuing to handle A&R for Starrah, DJ Esco, Dave East and other talents on her roster.
Calhoun was featured in Billboard's 2016 A&R Power Players list and has acted as a consultant on projects for Warner Music Group and Sony's Epic Records.
"In a very short time here at Pulse she has proven herself to be an invaluable partner, having earned tremendous respect within the Pulse family but even more consequentially within the larger music business," said Pulse co-CEO Scott Cutler. "She has been able to move the needle for her clients here in a meaningful way and we look forward to watching her continue to blossom in the future."
