Author Margaret Atwood Eyes Drake Cameo for Season 2 of The Handmaids Tale

For those salivating for a possible Drake cameo on Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale, your wish may be coming true. In an interview with the Boston Review, Canadian author Margaret Atwood revealed her desires to nab Drizzy for an appearance on season two of her adapted acclaimed TV series.

"I haven’t met Drake, but I have of course met people who have met Drake," says Atwood in the interview. Then, she casually tosses the idea of possibly snatching the "6 God" for a cameo on season two of the acclaimed adaptation of her dystopian novel set in the near-future  in which a totalitarian, Christian fundamentalist dictatorship subjugates women in order to turn around plummeting birthrates.

"Wouldn’t it be fun for him to have a cameo in season two of The Handmaid’s Tale? I’ll drop that notion into the ear of Bruce Miller, the showrunner, and see what he can do with that, because of course the show is filmed in Toronto. Maybe Drake could help smuggle someone?"

The multi-faceted star who got his start on Degrassi: The Next Generation has been relatively quiet on the acting scene for the past several years. Outside of Saturday Night Live, the last TV appearance Drake made was in 2009 on an episode of Beyond the Break. In terms of the big screen, Drizzy was last spotted in 2014, when he made a cameo in Think Like a Man Too.

Last week, Drake hosted the NBA Awards. There, he showcased his acting prowess, nailing a couple of hilarious scenes, especially when he spoofed Get Outas NBA star Stephen Curry.
