Watch EXILE ATSUSHI Cover Classic Ballad Kanpai for Musician Aid Japan Project

Japanese singer EXILE ATSUSHI of the popular J-pop group EXILE recently contributed his platform and smooth vocals to a cause to support musicians who have lost their source of income due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Musician Aid Japan Project, launched by the artist in collaboration with singer-songwriter AI, also aims to deliver live music to fans who are unable to see their favorite artists perform live.

The first video for the project features ATSUSHI's rendition of the classic J-pop ballad "Kanpai" by Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi, recorded remotely with the Japanese guitarist Tsuyoshi Kon. Watch below:

The project will continue to release videos, some free of charge and others for a fixed monthly fee, featuring special sessions by musicians and performers. All proceeds from the YouTube channel will be divided equally among the participating musicians.
