DJ Akademiks kept his feud with Mona Love from The Joe Budden Podcast alive during a recent livestream, where he took aim at her directly. During the broadcast, he claimed he had already started looking into her background and warned her to stop mentioning him publicly.
Ak kicked off his rant by insulting Mona, referring to her as the “crack whre that’s on The Joe Budden Podcast” and telling her she should take Ozempic. “I don’t wanna see you talk about me no more,” he said. “You really don’t deserve the normal Ak routine, but today I got a little bit of time. I’m seeing my other opps. They’re tweeting about ‘right wing.’ These n***s turning political.” His comments appeared to reference an earlier outburst involving Ebro Darden and Peter Rosenberg amid their ongoing situation with Drake.
Shifting his focus back to Mona, Akademiks continued by suggesting she should reconsider engaging with him. “Through preliminary research, I don’t know if this is really what you want to do. I didn’t even know that your podcast had a 360 deal. Now you’re the 10th mic on you’re the P mic over there at The Joe Budden Podcast now? Calm your triple chin ass down. I got a crack wh*re trying to come beef with me. Come on,” he said.
The tension between the two started earlier this month when Mona Love took shots at DJ Akademiks during an episode of the Joe Budden Podcast. While discussing his recent back and forth with Maino and Fabolous, she cracked jokes about Akademiks’ personal life before offering a more pointed critique of his role in hip hop media. “I’m not a fan of people who are not in the streets at all doing all street content,” she said. “You have to be at least adjacent to it to be able to report on it.”
Akademiks later responded during a livestream, dismissing Mona as insignificant and questioning why she continued to bring him up. “I don’t even know who she is. She can’t stop talking about me,” he said at the time. “You’re filling out the Melyssa Ford slot.”
